Version 1 · Effective 4 July 2026

Terms of Sale and Personal-Use EPUB Licence

1. Scope

These Terms govern the purchase and supply of the first-edition EPUB of The Virgin Criterion. The seller operates publicly through the publishing imprint Eldorado Publications. Marcus Tandy is the public author name. Eldorado Publications is a publishing imprint and is not presented as a separate incorporated company.

2. Payment provider and merchant of record

The payment transaction is handled through Stripe Managed Payments and is displayed as Sold through Link. Link acts as merchant of record for the transaction and provides checkout, receipts, applicable indirect-tax handling, transaction support, refunds and dispute handling under its own terms and policies. Eldorado Publications remains responsible for the EPUB itself, delivery and product-level support.

3. Product

Your purchase is for one copy of the complete first-edition EPUB of The Virgin Criterion. EPUB is a reflowable digital-book format and requires a compatible reading application or device. No physical book is included.

4. Price, currency and taxes

The base price is £14.99 GBP for a one-time purchase. Applicable indirect taxes are included where Stripe Managed Payments applies them. Stripe may display and charge an equivalent amount in a supported local currency. The final amount, currency and payment method are shown before you confirm payment. Your bank or payment provider may apply separate conversion or cross-border charges.

5. Availability and territory

The EPUB is offered where Stripe Managed Payments and an eligible payment method support the transaction. A purchase may be unavailable or declined because of location, sanctions, payment-method, risk, tax or service restrictions.

6. Order acceptance and supply

Submitting payment is an offer to purchase. The order is accepted when Stripe/Link confirms successful payment and the fulfilment system records the paid order. Digital supply begins when the private delivery page or delivery email makes the EPUB available to you.

7. Immediate supply and cancellation

Before checkout you must expressly request immediate digital supply and acknowledge that, where the law permits, your statutory cancellation right ends when supply begins. If applicable law or the Sold through Link refund policy gives you a cancellation or refund right, that right applies. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Delivery and technical access

After successful payment, you are directed to a private delivery page and sent a transactional delivery email. The delivery page remains available for seven days and permits up to three authorised download attempts. A failed request that does not reach the file does not consume an attempt. Short-lived file URLs may be generated for each authorised attempt.

9. Permanent personal-use licence

Once the EPUB is supplied, you receive a permanent, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for your own personal use. You may keep the downloaded file, use it on your own compatible devices and make reasonable personal backup copies. The licence is permanent even though the delivery page and download-attempt allowance are temporary security controls.

10. Prohibited use

You must not share the EPUB with another person; publish, upload or distribute it; make it available through a shared drive, repository, file-sharing service or library; sell, rent, lend, sublicense or commercially exploit it; or remove copyright or ownership notices. This clause does not prevent acts that applicable law expressly permits and does not exclude statutory rights.

11. Access support

For a legitimate access problem, email thevirgincriterion@gmail.com. Support may verify the Stripe purchase and reset access. A refunded order or an order subject to an active payment dispute is not eligible for replacement access unless required by law or necessary to correct an error.

12. Faulty, misdescribed or undelivered digital content

The EPUB must conform to its description and applicable consumer law. If it is corrupt, materially incomplete, materially not as described or cannot be delivered, contact support. Where applicable, the first remedy may be repair, replacement or renewed access. If that is impossible, disproportionate or not completed within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, an appropriate price reduction or refund will be considered. Rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

13. Duplicate and unauthorised payments

Report a duplicate payment promptly to Link/Stripe transaction support or to the product-support email. Suspected unauthorised payments should also be reported to your payment provider. Confirmed duplicate payments will be refunded. Fraudulent, reversed, refunded or disputed orders may have delivery access suspended.

14. Change-of-mind requests and Link refunds

Because access is supplied immediately after payment, a separate discretionary change-of-mind guarantee is not offered after digital supply begins. This is subject to applicable law and the Sold through Link refund policy, which may control where it is more favourable or where Link elects to issue a refund.

15. Receipts and confirmation

Stripe/Link sends the payment receipt or invoice. A separate delivery email confirms the product, price, access details, consent wording, these Terms and the support route in a form you can retain.

16. Product and payment support

For download, file, compatibility or product questions, contact thevirgincriterion@gmail.com. For payment, receipt, refund or transaction questions, you may also use the Sold through Link support route shown in your receipt or Link account.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or limits mandatory consumer remedies. Subject to those protections, the EPUB is supplied for personal reading and is not professional, medical, therapeutic, legal or financial advice.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. A consumer retains any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings that apply in the country where they live.

19. Public contact and presentation

Website: thevirgincriterion.com. Public author: Marcus Tandy. Publishing imprint: Eldorado Publications. Product and delivery support: thevirgincriterion@gmail.com. Payment transactions are handled as Sold through Link using Stripe Managed Payments.

20. Changes and version

The version in force when you purchase forms part of your contract. Later changes do not retrospectively alter a completed purchase. The order record must store the Terms version shown at checkout.
